I've been super busy in the garage and the short version of THIS build, is that my buddy sent the truck to me so I could install a modern drive train and make it reliable for years to come.
He isn't going to paint it. He wants it to look old and slow. So when the youths of America pull up at the lights- he can mash the loud pedal (and believe me- it's LOUD) and leave the little urchins in the dust. Or at the very least, smoke the guy that's late for work in his Subaru Impreza WRX. Along with most other things under 500BHP.
We found an engine and after a bit of digging, we discovered it had an additional 75 ponies sitting inside of it. We unlocked the horsepowers.... Pics coming now.

He pulled the carburetor and stuck it on a trailer where last winter it arrived. Non running. First time I had ever seen it in person. Eeeef! What did I just agree to? Rusted floor board, soggy metal everywhere and heavy as a 48yr old truck that doesn't run.  |

Step two- We removed the drum front brakes and replaced them with power disc in the front. Nothing too fancy but functional. Also- we replaced the manual steering column with a power steering one, and the new steering gearbox. As seen above.

More on this engine? So it's from a newer mustang, 5.0L Coyote variant. In stock form they produce 435BHP. We learned that this engine- Because it came out of a Boy racer's car and he smashed it to bits- He also added the ROUSCH Racing Intake, Throttle body and custom Dyno tune, to his little motor. I had to work out IF the Ford ECU and control pack wiring kits I use- was even going to Fire this engine, or would I be forced to return it to the measly little 435HP ... ? Take a wild guess... lol. I made that stuff WORK  |

I made it work by reading on the internet and then hooking up temporary fuel and power. I twisted the wires together and BANG! It fired up. But it would not stay running right. It threw codes, I called Ford. The solution? Take it to a tuner. Luckily I had the factory ECU that the car had in it, when boy racer guy put it in a ditch. I took the truck and the ECU- To a VERY reputable tuner in Southern Ohio. Rabid Customs. They made it ALL BETTER    |

Yes. Rabid Tuners are building a version of Ken Block's Hoonigan V8 AWD Mustang. These guys are using a Ford Galaxie 500 or a Fairlane- WHAT. EVER. It's amazing, I offered to work there for free. lol
