Hi, i was hoping to restore this car myself, but lacking in time and space so here she is....
MK1 Granada Ghia 3.0 l
These are extremely rare cars now and prices seem to be on the up, i have seen a few decent examples making mid to high twenty's recently, and there is no reason why this one shouldn't either with a little time and money spent on it.
I haven't owned it long and this one was going to be a keeper, so i haven't had chance to look over it all and get lots of pics yet.
Looks very solid to me, going to need some welding but realy cant see much- small hole on drivers floor pan...
Needs a vinyl roof fitting, a previous owner has sprayed the roof black, i believe all the Ghia Coups came from factory with vinyl roofs- on the positive side at least you can see the roof is solid and there's no rust lurking under any vinyl....
The car will need a respray to bring it up to a restored example, paintwork isn't bad to be honest as it is, but not perfect either. Original colour, and i think its the best colour Ford did these in, realy sets the car off....
Interior, i haven't spent much time inside, but it is all there and complete. I also have a full set of mint original black seats that can go with the car.
Spares in the boot too, and a 5th alloy as well. The alloys on the car are in very good condition.
Engine, its free but i haven't tried to start it as there's no battery. I'm confident it will start and run and if i get chance i will take a look and get it going.
This realy is a good car and worthy of a straight forward restoration. Parts for these fetch a fortune, but luckily the car is complete. Your not going to spend hours welding it up, and your not going to be hunting down parts all year long. Its a pretty simple resto to take on, and if it sells all well and good, ifnot i will hang onto it for a rainy day!!
£8500 Herts, delivery available at cost, better pics to come....
thanks, Matt
