looks smart in black. looks a very decent ride that mate! Decided your plans for it? Be a shame not to give it a fair run out! Also, you say a Guzzi project....?
No work, expensive hobbies and dwindling bank account 😁 I am going to do everything I can to keep ‘Black Beauty’...... Twas a V50iii, rescued from a back yard in Liverpool, mostly uncovered, I loved it’s style and simplicity, many parts needed replacing, I did the sums after I got the xj, to get that legal and looking good, purchase, parts, paint, mot, insurance, around £450. Guzzi would be best part of £1000 all in so with a slightly heavy heart she was sold to a great chap from Newcastle, made a few quid as well. My lovely wife likes the idea of a few weekends away in the xj, would have been awkward on the guzzi due to the size.

These bike threads are really tempting me to do my bike test.
But that looks heavy. but also comfy. in my eyes bikes age better than cars as this looks newer than 80s/.

Do your bike test then be amazed at counter steer, nudge the bars right to turn left and vice-versa 😁 This one is 35kgs lighter than my old BMW.

I think mine was a early one from either 1999 or 2000. De-restricted of course. apparently they are 33bhp but i have no idea what it was but when it hit 8000rpm it felt bloody quick to a younger me. sadly a drunk driver knocked me off and wrote the bike off. id love another but id feel daft on a little bike now

I cant remeber exatly what i did to mine. but i did the usual de restriction froma guide i followed online years ago. then was exhaust which probably cost more than the bike and just before it was wrote off it had a 150cc bore.
All i have left of it is a knackered side fairing and a nice load of scars from the crash. just looked now and they seem to have gone up in price
