The cut down C34KM now has a truck cab roof again to even up the proportions now it's sitting higher over the MN portals. Here's a quick vid of it running in the garden. I've had the basis of another project arrive too - well as I have the WPL metal axles and trusses spare from the C34. It's an MN96, 'Special Forces' version of the MN99. It comes with unique smaller diameter tyres, and the exocage parts. I've started cutting up the cage to fit to the blue D99s, removing the cupola and fitting in a straight bar. I might use styrene rod to add some diagonal bars too. The 96 has been de-militarised and will get paint at some point. It's currently got the tyres fitted to wider printed wheels which look pretty cool. That one will wait a bit though as I have a couple of kits from WPL to finish making build videos for first. There's a part built C34KM on the bench and C24-1 waiting to go.

Looking good. 😃 Got crimble out of the way and I was making plans and thinking how to progress the D90, the second FJ45 I have and the long stalled nitro Escort when I have a setback. I've been having trouble with my right eye, vision is blurry, colours distorted and I can't focus so I went to get checked out. So after 3 hours of tests at the hospital I have been diagnosed with a Macula Edema, which is a build up of fluid inside my eye, causing the symptoms above. It's treatable, best case it drains away itself, or with the help of drops. Worst case injections in my eye or laser treatment. So messing with my cars, close work, even using my phone is a bloody nightmare. You have no idea how long it took to write this!!! I'll be back at it as soon as I can.

Would be pretty good fun going to that, but I doubt I'll still have anything running by then.

You and Mark knock stuff out like slices of toast. You've both built loads in the time it's taken me to not finish three.

Yeah, not doing so bad, thanks. There's been an improvement in my sight, next treatment is 1st of march. Hopefully more improvement, then I might be able to make a start again.

Can I ask, is a C14 RTR better than an FTX 3.0 outback? Are WPL a better brand to get stuff from than FTX or vice versa? Cheers

Cheers 2 very different products really, the WPL trucks are smaller scale crawlers all at around 1/16-14 ish, the FTX claims to be 1/10 so quite big. Depends what you want from it really. If you want to go 1/10 I’d definitely look at an Austar ‘Axial SCX10II’ clone. I run one with the Injora Jeep shell, very good chassis for the cash.
