contacted them very quick reply some are in the post think I need at least 6 screws maybe 8, yep you're right the axles I have are the crappy ones oddly the cab was built up when it arrived too. thanks for the offer may look at that if the axles etc arrive before the new screw setkept me quiet for s couple hours understanding the instructions are the rear axles offset so the between prop is at an angle, to me looked like it was?

Yea, rear axles have offset spool housings, if you put them on the same side as each other one axle will run backwards.

thought so took a while to work it out. not built anything since I lived here which is 26 1/2 years so took me a while to get the hang of things again, and I didn't need glasses then. are the wheel weights to make the tyres deflect like real?

The kit tyres will flop about like low pressure off-road tyres anyway, the weights help with traction and centre of gravity. Worth using for sure.

Finally got to test one of the C24 trucks today after the 5mm suspension lift I carried out a few weeks ago They still amaze me these trucks , stock RTR with a 180 motor and suspension lift , very capable and fun to drive .

Last we were at the cab having a bit of blue, now it has some black too. Donor truck arrived. Problem is I actually quite like the little B14. So err, may have to buy another at some point. Initial built up, testing axle locations, that's too high though. Looking better Rear axle set at running height and placed on Wheelbase check reveals some issues. But in all, this will look smart. Got some chrome 1/14 spotlights to have a look at, make perfect headlamps for this as a Civvy truck. Bumper also trial fitted Headlamps fitted and done! Scribed the lenses to make them look more like headlights. Worked well!

This looks great. If I can resist the urge to spend the money in my PayPal on anything else I can definitely see a C34 or 44 in my future!
Was the donor truck an RTR bought as a cost effective way of getting the battery and radio gear (+ extra parts to modify in the future)?

One of my WPL parcels arrived today - I am now the proud owner of the handset controller, sound card and 2x batteries! It is progress 😁 In the meantime am restoring eBay purchase Scalextric cars 🙂

Get on it dude. the donor truck was the easiest way to get suspension and frame rails, As well as a motor and the radio kit isn’t long term but it will get it going and driving. The bed will be a trailer for the C24 my brother has and the cab will end up as a mock up truck for the wreckers to tow.

I couldn’t even get a truck from China that wasn’t twice what they cost prior to the COVID-19 situation, I was planning on building a 6wd logging truck but I can’t get a KM B16 anywhere for not silly money now at all!

I’ve had a few speedpaks turn up quickly and free post but anything more than a small envelope is a different matter. Good news on your parcel moving at last dude, hopefully it’s just a short time now Until you can crack on and share some pics of your build here
