Unfortunately I had an accident with the Giulia last Saturday.
Due to unknown circumstances I've driven off the highway and ended up taking down a tree. I was slung out of the car and taken to the hospital.i have no memory of several hours so I don't really know the cause. Fortunately no-one else was hit or hurt.
The car is a total write off, will only get some parts of it before it gets scrapped.
My right leg has gotten some pins to set broken bones. I have some cracked discs in my spine that need aligning with a brace and off course I'm all black and blue all around. But recovery of 100% should be possible. And that's the main goal. Giulia will be followed by Giulietta.
It was an older wooden steering wheel, quite an impact and 112kg of driver holding it, that was enough to crack it i guess.
There are definitely some more items to be salvaged like the LSD, engine to gearbox adapter(hopefully also gearbox itself), the ecu and an electric module i used to get the speedometer to work. Those are parts that i also need for my Giulietta.
@all, many thanks for the best wishes. All will most likely work out well, it will just take time.
yep my dad had a big one 30 odd years ago, (hit the central reservation armco and rolled a mgbgt on the A12), he still can't remember what happened. (he recovered and is still pretty fit and able at 86)
It was pretty clear from the wreck that he had lost a rear tyre and been running on the rim though.
