	So recently i was having the usual type of day that i have just messing around with cars and generally minding my own business. When i have a call from a friend of mine who deals in scrap car clearances etc, and he informed me that he had just gone to a clearance a couple of streets away from me .... And what he said shocked me !! He had just collected a 1968 vauxhall victor fd that had sat ONLY around the corner from me unused since september 1983 (i would have only been 7 months old then) It was a bit of a strange one seems as I like many of you out there try to find hidden classic cars especially local ones and try to find out about then and hopefully secure a deal to own them, even though some are to far gone .... but there are the odd few that can be saved and live on to have a new life. Anyway to cut the long story short i managed to secure a deal on this car and it appears to be an early car which was a nice to know. I have always liked these cars but never yet owned one , So now the fun begins of sourcing the panels .... and yes she will need a few, for example wings, doors, rear qtrs, rear valance etc etc Now call me crazy but this is an unmolested 1 owner car with roughly 75,000 miles on and i do think she should be saved and be enjoyed as these cars are getting few and far between. 	I do like an FD,I had a VX 4/90 model back in the early 80s that I should never have scrapped! The front and rear screens are bonded in and always used to give problems back in the day!

	Well, it's not as bad as it could be but these are really good at hiding structural rot I see it's starting to go on the C pillars (rot starts from the corners of the rear screen and works forwards along the internal seam), boot floor is normal to dissolve, door bottoms, front wings- and have a poke at the swan necks up front- the road dirt kicks up into them and has nowhere to go so they go from the inside out. Nice cars to drive though, pretty shape. I miss mine. Good luck! --Phil

	I really do love this car haha The one thing i am not looking forward to thou is removing the carpets and seeing the floors as with most early vauxhalls i think they may be rather ummm thin if any are still there.

	Marvellous. Reminds me of scalded legs on a summers day when you sit on those seats. We had a pale green one ONU 31J was the reg. Handbrake on the dash if I remember rightly.
