For Sale – Opel Manta, Berlinetta Coupe 2.0 16v XE
I purchased this car to ferry my kids around the football games on weekends. A lot of work has since been carried out.
The 2.0 XE engine swap runs smoothly with Jenvey 48's and ME211 ECU. Producing 179bhp on the rollers with printouts and video to show. The car starts first time, every time. (New fuel pump, 15” Revolution 5 Spoke wheels, clutch, oil catch tank, water pump, recon alternator, battery, Ashley Exhaus Manifold, Sports Exhaust (by Harvey), Brise High Torque Starter Motor, fuel pump/filters/Regulator and reconditioned radiator).
The swan necks and drivers side floor, have been repaired professionally, with new steel used and repairs carried out by a very competent welder at no expense spared. All grinding and sealing of the chassis repairs have been carried out and have been documented as proof. Copper brake and fuel lines have also been installed.
I still have the original parts (1800cc engine, boot spoiler and wheels), should the new owner wish to return the car to its original state. Fibreglass Manta 400 boot and bonnet panels have been fitted, although. The car will be sold with a new MOT'd (mileage will increase as the car is in use).
This is my project car. I am in no rush to sell this car as I enjoy driving it so much.
The price reflects its purchase and cost of repairs. This doesn’t come anywhere near the money spent on it. The Cibie lights are not included in the sale, although will be for sale with other spares).
Viewing by appointment near Uxbridge, London, (Just off M40, London).
