Completed the intercooler install and pipework routing. Wasnt a hard task just time consuming. I will eventually change it to as much hard pipe work as I can, once I buy an ally welder and learn how to ally weld! LOL Watching with interest, it's looking like a very nice project. I'd expose the I.C. far more, expose all of it if you can and better again fit ducting on the front and rear if possible. Bookmarked.

Very nice - inspired low key colour choice that reminds me of my mate's mum's 1.1L (which we might have thrown around some Somerset lanes whilst at college!)

Looks great. I have a Mk2 with a 2.1 pinto. It’s great but lumpy and impossible to drive under 2k. I keep looking at a Zetec to make it more user friendly, but the MX5 just keeps popping up. Are you using a mk1 or mk2 engine? Other than losing the brake servo and the lip on the heater bubble, does it need anything else chopping? And are you running a standard cross member or World Cup?

Hi buddy, I used a Mk1 1.8 but quickly found out they run a wierd CAS (Cam Angle Sensor) on the rear so would have had to cut the bubble out. MK2 1.8 engines have the cam sensor on the front so more room. You can make it run even on the standard MX5 ECU very easy!
I also think you might just get the standard servo in there as well!
I'm running a chassis mounted engine mounts and just cut the engine mounts off the standard cross member
