AKA Huddersfield Hot Rods & Horsepower
The show is in it's 5th year. I've somehow managed to miss The show is in it's 5th year. it until now, but it was well worth the journey. (it's an hours drive, hardly Michael Palin territory)
The show was held on a cricket pitch. I'm no expert on that game but isn't it supposed to be on flat ground? This one definitely had a slope on it. Never mind it was nice not to have grass up to your ankles on a showfield for a change!
Whist nominally a rod show there was also plenty of other cars- classics, retros, modified late models to keep a bit of variety. Highlights for me were the big club line-up from the NSVA representing the custom van revival. Orange paint and Cragar wheels both quite prominent features of their rides which pleased me a lot.
Others were the SAAB turbo powered Model Y bodied rod (the bare metal one, in case you're not sure), The VERY red '40 Ford Coupe and the juiced green Datsun.
Anyway I'll let the rest of the photos speak for themselves and take any questions from the class at the end.
