1966 Triumph Herald Tristan Convertible. Log book says Convertible.
Did leave the factory as a hard top but believed to be a genuine conversion from back in the day. (Only no paperwork to back this up)
Excellent re-commissioning after an 8 year lay up.
Loads of new parts.
Discs, pads, callipers, hoses, cylinders, shockers, bushes.(most of bushes were replaced with poly ones)
Big End bearings replaced along with new clutch assembly.
Uj’s replaced on prop and driveshafts.
New electronic distributor, coil, leads, plugs and battery.
Banded wheels with new tyres all round. With a Fantastic stance!!!!!
Great little runner with looks to match.
Bodywork and Chassis all solid.
Nice Cherry bomb back box.
Requires new soft top as original is shrunk, does fit but not water tight!! Frame in good order.
Paint work polishes up well, and has good patina,
Bit of surface rust here and there but nothing serious.
Only corrosion is bottom of n/s door.
Upon re-commissioning only chassis repair needed was a new out-rigger to n/s/r.
All underside under/sealed at time of MOT.
MOT was carried out in June 2017 after completing all work and since then its only done approximately 350 miles.
Obviously now Tax and MOT exempt.
