Hi, I have two new front wings to fit after someone drove into me.
The wings are genuine new stock but I want to protect them before I fit them and come to get them properly painted in the future.
What product/s and process could I use on them? Rattle can some red oxide?
Thanks

If you want to go the primer route, I'd use Bonda Primer. It's not porous, so you can get away with painting it at a later date.

You can get 2k epoxy primer in a spray can. Epoxy is the only coating I would trust for storage or exposure to weather.
Either Eastwood or your local body-shop supply will have what you want. Be aware they are catalyzed, so once you start you have to use the stuff that day. Also means you spray with a charcoal respirator on your face if not fresh air make-up.

if you key it and use the epoxy then a bodyshop can paint over that /work with it , vs brush paint /red oxide will need to come off
