For sale is my Jaguar XJ6, I bought it as a running car that really should've been driven to the scrapheap and left there but I naively stepped in and got to work! I've had it for 3 years and piled in a lot of money on parts.
It is now at a stage where I am driving it to work and back regularly without any drama, last week it had to sit in traffic on a 35C day and it was fine with it, not even a hint of getting hot, I've done 800 or so miles since having the engine completely to bits and oil pressure is good, it pulls cleanly and the gearbox works well.
I want to move it along because I quite fancy something different now and it is at a stage where I really should start tidying up the body work which will only mean more expense, I had thought I might have a go myself because I couldn't make it any worse! However, I have decided I am just not cut out to be a body work man, it just makes too much mess for my liking!
It is quite a charming old thing and most people seem to comment that there is something cool about it, it drives exactly how I wanted it to, softly sprung and very wafty.
It passed an MOT in April 2017 (the first MOT it had seen for over 30 years!) and I don't think it has even covered 1000 miles since, I have a thread on here about the car if you want to read up on some of my experiences with it, it is now MOT exempt and is of course Tax exempt.
If you want to come and have a look, you are welcome to, I have a 4 post vehicle lift so you'd be welcome to have a poke underneath it if you wanted to, I am near Atherstone on the A5.
I have an itemised list of parts that have been fitted since I have owned this car that I can share with any interested parties, it is a LONG list and represents well over twice what I am asking for the car.
It has had 3 previous owners and I have the V5C.
