Body certainly looks like a voluptuous caricature of classic '60's sports racers like Lola T70, Ferrari P4, Porsche 910 etc.!

I like the wheel colour, it matches the trim colour well, and they look incredible on the move. If one drove past me I know id stare at it like an idiot. Colour aside,to me the car looks very sleek and functional rather than flash like alot of modern supercars. Id like to see it in off-white with satin silver wheels.

I saw this at Goodwood this weekend. It's definitely stunning, perhaps more together in real life than in photos where it can seem a bit disjointed. I agree on the wheels; my first thought was they belong in the Pistonheads "council" thread. It's clearly aimed at Saudi princes and YouTube Shmee and other taste-bypassed nouveau riche which is a shame as it's probably mostly redolent of the Ferrari P-series enduro racers - maybe a touch of XJ220 - and anyone who played Top Trumps in the 1970s has a special place in their heart for de Tomaso. But it's not for you, and it's not even a de Tomaso. The name's owned by some kind of conglomerate that sounds like a finance consultancy firm and it's based in Hong Kong. It's designed purely to sell 15 copies to rich idiots and then the firm will be wound up never to be heard from again But... it does look lovely  de Tomaso P72 by Nick Liassides, on Flickr |

Incidentally, it was accompanied by a range of Panteras, a Mangusta and a Vallenlunga and it was amazing hw many of the salmon-trousered Tarquins at the Festival of Speed didn't even realise they were supposed to be connected. Or could pronounce "Vallelunga", for that matter.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be. I'd give one of my favourite luv spuds to even be able to lick a Mangusta, let alone drive one

Reminds me very much of the Chevron B16 - its virtually has if they have taken the design and added a few swoops & curves to it then stuck their name on it  Give me the Chevron any day over the 'Look at me I can afford one of these crowd' (ok I cant afford a B16 either) and has L7 states much rather own / drive or lick a heritage De Tomaso than what the current out of the mould thing is |

The interior does seem to have a whiff of Pagani about it mind you. The body on the other hand!
