Steel City Cruisers were formed in 1977, when flared arches and jacked up rear ends were the height of fashion, as were platform shoes and flared trousers. This was their 38th rod run so (quickly whips out calculator) that means there were four years when they didn't host a show. Who know when they were? Not me.
I'm not sure how much steel they actually make in Sheffield any more, but when they're not stripping off to Tom Jones records SSC still know how to make stuff from steel, if their club line up is anything to go by, and to gather together some fine old steel (not to mention some fibreglass) to make a car show.
By midday there were about 300 cars on display (according to the show numbers) running the gamut of custom styles.
I'll start with the Fords.
