First year in more than a decade that I won't be going. It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth now, like I'm being milked like a Matrix-style cash battery. It's sadly been many years since anything unique or fascinating showed up, the organisation is worse every year and the last two years running they've not opened the gates till over an hour late, leaving small children and disabled people to stand and wait in a cow-pat strewn field. And let's be honest, there's only so many Triumph Stags you can really enjoy in any one day
When I pay that sort of money for a day out, I don't expect to have to pay for it in other ways as well. I'll be voting with my wallet and staying away
But for positivity tax, have some photos from happier times
Authough I havnt been to Bromley for 10 or so years, but before that id been mabie 25 times, and every time for free, and I received a free plaque. Sadly I just cant get my head around paying to get in. I loved that show, biggest one day classic car show in the country as I remember. For some reason thinking about bromley makes me think of the sound of the fairground organ.
This will be my first one in ten years For much of the above reasons But I’ve been convinced to have a look this year And a few pals have cars on stands there so decided to give it a go, I’ll report back come Sunday eve!
