This is the last of my late uncles car collection A lovely 1973 Rover 3.5 coupe Zircon blue with tan interior...lots of real leather! Car is showing 61,000 miles no history so I don’t know if it’s genuine, but in its condition it’s possibly genuine mileage My uncle owned it for 16 years and drove it for our wedding 14 years ago, very nice car very straight no visible rust or dents Underbody seems very good no rot or hidden bodges , it has been repainted sometime In it’s life To a good standard, not concours but nice Just had a new master cylinder fitted And drives well, nice 80s stereo and equaliser fitted This car needs an enthusiast owner Mot and tax exempt, it seems my uncle had it motd before he became ill last year Full stainless exhaust fitted Offers around £12,500 viewing encouraged              |

Bit more information
The history file has turned up in some of my uncles work related stuff
So the mileage is definitely genuine we have all the mots going back to 1980
It’s Been motd at the same garage from 1980 up until 2018
The previous owner a friend of my uncles bought the car in 1980 and has confirmed its mileage is genuine
My uncle owned the car 16 years purchased from his friend
All the jacking points are original unwelded and all the original Chrome is present and good
I’ve been all over the car now and can confirm it’s rotfree in all the crucial p5 rot spots
Need to advertise it in the classic press I should think too

I had a "definitely coming on Saturday, hold it for me" which has now turned into a "Might not be able to get the money together but I can bring you 3/4s of it and sign an agreement to send the rest". Whattttttttt? Have you advertised this on the RoverP5 club forum and the various Rover P5 groups on Facebook. I'm amazed this is still hanging around to be honest. These cars are very sought after and got for more than you're asking. |

P5 club want £20 to advertise it
Surely a club member would benefit from seeing an ad for it? Can’t be bothered with snooty owners clubs,
And yep timewasters are hilarious
We we’re on holiday last week, I took a call of a fella saying I’ve got to have it, when are you back?
I said Sunday , he said I’ll be there Monday with cash
I said to the wife that’s definitely a messer!
Proved right when I called him Monday total curse word
But that goes with selling these days....

I just asked my mate who has a P5b saloon. He's always banging on about the club and telling me all about how all the Rover P5s stick together and whatnot. Told him about your car, gave him the general spec, said it looks very tidy etc etc. He replied to say "Everyone in the P5 club already has a P5" So even he's been a snooty  about it! Mind you he does have a bit of a chip on his shoulder about P5b saloons vs P5b coupes. Always makes me cringe if we're anywhere and somebody has a Coupe because he just goes off on one... to their faces. Best I could rinse out of him was that you might try the Facebook P5 groups. Might also be worth trying the P4 Owners group on Facebook too. I'm a member of that and they're a friendly bunch and are often talking about buying P5s. |

If you're not already doing so and you want to get somewhere near the market value you need to advertise where there's a much wider readership, the RR readership is quite small and made up of a lot of people who'll only splash out on a real bargain. We're still mid show season but the value will drop when the season's over. The UK is probably on the verge of a Brexit-related recession, classic car prices are the first thing to plummet. If you put it into storage thinking it will appreciate you might well find it's not worth as much next year.
