They are all pricey all of the time, being next to the nec. Your best bet is look a bit further out & either drive in or taxi in. Last time I did it, I stopped in a Best Western about 10 min taxi ride from the nec, I think it was about £50 for a twin room.

Dan - We go here: www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/west-midlands/birmingham/birmingham-city-centre-waterloo-street.html?ARRdd=31&ARRmm=07&ARRyyyy=2019&NIGHTS=1&ROOMS=1&ADULT1=1&CHILD1=0&COT1=0&INTTYP1=DB&BRAND=PIStill a Premier Inn - however its a few mins from Birmingham New Street Station - the NEC has Birmingham International Station - its a 10 min trip and a cheap fare - you don't even have to leave the NEC complex to catch the train its that close - the hotel has restaurant & bar - its not bad at all and saves us a fortune against the NEC complex hotels which all charge a premium rate - book the meal deal and you get dinner & breakfast for under £25 - we have been using it for the last 5 years - not decided what days I'm doing yet but I will let you know nearer the time PS:The sooner you book the hotel the cheaper it is PSS:Leave your motor in the carpark overnight (it says you cant but loads do it) PSSS: Book your parking for the NEC online £12 otherwise its a £16 sting on the gate Chris

There is a premier inn called the George in the tree I think, it’s in Ballsal Common, about 10-15 minute drive. Nothing much around it tho

Errr, I don’t know about that, Ballsal Common looks rather middle class to me so I don’t think it’s that type of establishment! I could easily be wrong though!

Might be worth looking at hotels close to Coventry train station? Or rugby?
They might be cheaper, Nd the trains are frequent and stop at the NEC.
