This came in today.
I've never been able to catch one of these. Too much money or too far away or both.
My 'better half" sent it to me from the breakfast table and I yelled down from the office to her "Oh curse word! Now we're buying a Dodge?"
So yeah- we went and now it's here.

Is this destined for the usual Grenade treatment?

Do I see a little rust in that door?

Rust on the bottoms of the doors- yes. The bottoms are gone. Front wings are thin on the top. I'll patch them up.
The overall look and feel of this one- I'm not sure which way it'll go. This one is mine so I can take any direction I'd like.
At this point- it's clean it out, assess what's useable and yeah- it's probably going to be a Durango under there. I'm thinking a bit more like Muscle truck mud tires. Or I might go wide fat, slick tires like a race car. Windscreen visor...

What about hellcat running gear? Or trackhawk instead of Durango?

One option is to go bottom chopped (too many go top chopped). Just above the front and rear bumpers (so also bumperless), take out the whole rusty bottom area and sit it low on the Durango chassis.

I'm not sure which way it'll go. This one is mine so I can take any direction I'd like. How about "right turn Clyde". Sorry, I couldn't help myself. There are so many ways these trucks look good, you have many options. Keep us posted.

there looked like a lot of potential donors in that yard aside from the pickup.

Total sleeper would be my vote. Keep it looking totally untouched, but have it howl up the road like a mad thing.
That or all-out low, wide, loud and race-track renegade look.

There were a bunch of cool things in that yard. Stuff that I could spend a couple years getting built into something. It's all for sale too. That big yellow thing is called an International travelall and is 1200 usd with a running V8. Ugly thing, it's HUUUGE hahaha! Some people like those, but I never did. Most of it was 4 door, and I usually stay clear of 4 doors. But- Never say never! That guy has a service station/gas station and is pretty cool, he comes up with rusty stuff all the time. We've kept each other's number in case we deal on something later. As for the Dodge truck? I'm going to get it cleaned out and pressure washed in the next few days, we'll see what's what.

We had those trucks over here - although locally assembled and badged as Fargo trucks. Looking forward to see how you go with this one!
