Fancy something from the deepest, disco infested, taste free Seventies? How about my 244 GL. This is a Greek import, so is LHD. The colour is full on Orange, like those Tic Tacs used to be. Engine is B21E, four speed manual.
Being LHD, there is loads of room for the turbo you always promised yourself. Factory Turbos were all LHD.No servo or steering in the way. It would make a cool track/drift car. There are signs of sun burn as youd expect.
Back seat is in a truly retro orange/red stripy upholstery. front seats have been re done in some sort of brown fabric.
There are, however, a few issues.
Each panel appears to have some filler. The respray is certainly colourful, but is very much a twenty footer. There is overspray, so if concours are your thing, maybe not for you.The screen is cracked on the passenger side. The AC doesnt work. Lots of the electrics are not working at the moment, though it runs and goes into first/reverse so could probably drive onto a trailer. Don't imagine you can drive it home though.Tyres are a bit manky. no longer has alloys but has standard wheels with hubcaps. happy to throw in set of 4 torslander alloys.
I haven't looked it over for an MOT- it is 42 years old remember-, but from what I can see of the floor and innner wings it is pretty solid. Maybe they have different ideas about restoration in Greece? the underside has been painted, everything has been splurged with paint. It is not UK registered, I have the Greek paperwork (in Greek , no less), plus a receipt from the English chap I bought it from.
Ive tried to get photos on here but no luck. Please contact me and I will try and email you.
Price is £575, located near Norwich in Norfolk. As I said, it needs trailering away. Best number is 07840424319 or 01362 858122.
Thanks, Jim
