Gen. 81K Miles. MOT end Sept (MOT & Tax exempt)
1600 (AS) Engine .. no end float. AT G/box works perfectly.
Loads done in the last month :
New clutch, rear crank oil seal, complete engine service & tune up, new g/box oil.
New fuel sender, inline filter, fuel pipes throughout with clips.
Brakes: x2 rear drums, x4 flexi's, solid pipes where required & new fluid.
Welding to closing panel on N/S heater channel, various small
areas of bodywork needed attention (see different paint colour) Floor pans have never been welded.
The rear N/S wing was shot .. so I replaced both with Tombstone style wings & light units (not keen on the Elephant rear lights)
One key fits all, everything works as it should .. including the heating ! Completely under sealed.
Replaced the bonnet handle & rear bumper with VW parts no repro, new winder handles & dr pulls.
Apart from the steering wheel & Centerline alloys etc It's a very original Beetle in solid condition .. starts on the button & drives lovely.
The paint isn't great (tho not bad for it's age) & the front seats are a bit thread bear (still comfy tho)
Make an excellent daily driver.
