Fantastic car! I have one as my runabout / daily driver and I love it. Such a hooligans car though, the only way to drive it fast is to rev the nuts off it, and you kind of look a bit of a dick when you leave the lights at 8k rpm! Here's my pirates black one, I had to fix the wheel well rust (hole even) and have the roof and spoiler resprayed. Worth it in the end. If I didn’t have to cover so much mileage, i’d definitely consider dailying mine, it’s surprisingly comfortable and cruises on the motorway pretty well. Also fuel consumption is impressive when just cruising around. I covered the best part of 150 miles yesterday over 3 hours and got out the other end feeling great, I estimate I only used around £25-£30 of fuel as well, and I wasn’t hanging about for large parts of the drive! Pirates black is such a nice colour, I didn’t realise how purple it goes in the sun!

It's really noticeable at night time as well under city lights, I'm amazed these weren't more popular. I ended up getting the roof resprayed, the hole in the footwell fixed, spoiler resprayed, one quarter on the bumper where someone had scraped it. (My car was an ex Honda demo one) And dent removal on all the doors. After that I gave it a machine polish and some wax and it really came back nicely.
Otherwise its a fantastic all around ride, huge boot as well. Shame the back seats don't go down but I'll accept that for the handling improvements. The gearing is a little off though, its annoying have to hang it right out to the max rpm in order not to lose VTEC.
I see you had the VTEC solenoid gasket changed, I've got to do the same on mine as its leaving a leak under the car.

These are some cool cars, proper 90ies super touring look!
I don't think I've ever really noticed one in real life, how big are they? Comparable to a 3-series or more a 5-series?

Yeah I am still mastering the gearing, much limiter bashing has occurred the process! I’d be very tempted to get a mapped ECU just to drop the vtec crossover a few hundred revs to give it a bit more flexibility.

I still remember the two page ad for these back in the car mags and Damon Hill was reversing one into his garage.
Cool car and always seem like the more interesting choice of the Type-R family.

Sooo.. I've put this up for sale in the 'For Sale' section. Decided I need to save for an RX7, so this must go as part of that process.
