I’m looking for some tape which I often see on the American car shows used to protect stuff as the car gets finally built , usually bright coloured blue yellow green etc . I need to cover some areas on my body work for building a hard top and needs to be fairly low tack and be able to sit for a couple of weeks without taking the paint with it when it gets removed .

When I saw the title I wondered if froggy was going to ask for this?

Going to try some blue 3m stuff first . Going to cover it in parcel tape to make some sections in glass first and use to build the mould off .

The blue 3M tape is pretty good: you can get a clean masking edge, it sticks well and isn’t wafer thin. Don’t leave any masking tape on any longer than necessary.

That’s my issue it’s purely a barrier to take a layer of parcel tape so that I can lay up fibreglass onto . Il give the surfaces a light coat of mould wax before taping up
