Here we have a Ford 100E engine I bought a few years ago for a project that has stalled.
I bought it on eBay for about £300 as a rebuilt engine. The sump had been modified to clear the E93A chassis.
On getting it home I found that it turned over very well for about 300 degrees! It turned out the sump has not been modified properly so doesn't quite clear the crank.
Fearing the worst I pulled the head and found everything to be in good order. The engine has clearly been run but there is very little wear to the bores and there is detectable crank end float. The crank turns very well where it can.
The bores have been kept well oiled but there is some very minor pitting so a hone wouldn't hurt.
I have sourced an unmolested E93A sump and a good distributor which are included. Obviously the sump needs to be pulled and I would strongly suggest checking the bearings as a just-in-case but with a manifold and carb I see no reason why it won't run. I also have an E93A gearbox which I think has been modified for the 100E, I can't remember exactly but it is included in the sale.
Unfortunately I have run out of dry storage space so am offering it cheap as I would rather it went cheap than sat and deteriorated.
