As the spring damper doesn't affect the suspension geometry as long as it doesn't rub assume it will all work ok? Suppose any angle difference side to side makes a small difference to effective spring/damper rates but not enough to notice ? Nice progress, is the beam rear end original ? James

James Probably will be a tiny amount of flex due to the radius arm, the heel board beam and various bits of rubber bushing moving under very hard cornering. If i get some witness marks, I can massage the grp a bit more. The beam is aftermarket. The shell came with a beam but sold to fit this one that i already had (along with the lightweight radius arms).

My small welder is struggling with the thick steel so hoping the tacks will hold

If you are able to preheat the steel with a blow lamp, even a hot air gun, before you mig weld, it really boosts the ability of lighter rigs
I realise the practicality if it's near body work

If you need a bigger welder, I have the welder down at the unit if you need to use that .

Cool, my favourite Mini minilights, after rosepetals. Is there an option to go for wider tyres on those rims? With the marcos being quite low, you could exaggerate that by going wiiiiide.

Have you decided for the tail lights?
I think mk1 Cortina or BMW 2002 tail lights "pie" will look good in my view as Marcos is very round shape. So using sqaure lights might be not flowing with designs...

Building roof chopped, screen raked '68 Mini with G13B 1.3 16v Gti engine with LSD, Yamaha R1 carbs. As well as mk1 Suzuki Swift Gti AWD with a turbo. Drives PHEV Outlander but wishing my mk1 Swift Gti or mk2 CRX Vt were still with me!
