When I bought my 2001 Boxster it was fitted with a Decker CD player - I'd never heard of them but there was an invoice with the car showing it was a £400 extra option way back in 2001!!
Have to say it sounds good and it's got all the manuals, code, removal tools and a nice leather wallet to keep them in.

Currently driving a 1972 BMW 1602 as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

faiz - that thing is amazing. I have the 'least annoying looking' Pioneer in our Suby because I wanted Dab, Bluetooth, USB charging - but it's still blingy and does disco lights and whatnot if you remove the battery or somehow other reset it - so it's hardly perfect. I love how sober, timeless and unobtrusive this Continental is - must find out more!

Used to have a McIntosh MX406 headunit. Glass face with chrome knobs and old school display, sounded really really good using Planet Audio Hybrid Vacuum tube amps, Focal utopia front speakers and a 10" Image Dynamics IDQ subwoofer. All gone now unfortunately 😓

Pioneer P77mp. I had one for afew years. Stunning sound, look good anywhere. I don't like selling cars with a hole in the dash, so i left it in my micra when i sold it. The only radio ive ever had that I honestly miss.

keeping with the cheap n cheerful theme in my 106... budget (but cracking) blaupunkt head unit , new at £32 off ebag and infinity 6x9's which were a gift more than 10 years ago. i have got a pile of fairly high end 90's alpine gear lurking in the garage that i bought as a job lot but never used. i must have a trawl and remind myself what i have exactly. back in the day pioneer was my brand of choice though.

Sharp RG9500 from the early 80s, once fitted in my FD VX4/90 in the early 80s!! Sharp never had a good name but these were top of the range at the time, so you had a separate equalizer that plugged into the head unit, then you could plug 2 separate power amps into the equalizer for front and rear speakers, my zounds were bangin!!

You have to buy it from Vdo-webshop.nl as its not available in the UK.

I had a Sharp CD player in my Corsa donkeys years ago... Sounded great, but it had ADHD and used to turn itself on, randomly, at absolute maximum, earsplitting volume... And not turn down no matter how nicely I asked.

My '91 Carina II has the shelf speakers under a cover BUT the speaker pressing has the clip holes as part of it.. RearSpeaker_plate Cone_chopped .... My new 6" cones will be fitted into the 'old' Toyota shell. Always a surprise with Toyota OVIMOR

This blaupunkt hamburg is going in my blue mk1 golf once the resto is finished, its was dealer fitted in mk1s back then so it's period correct. This ones faulty though (output transistors) so I might just get someone whose more clued up than me to get it converted to dab. My red mk1 will end up with a jvc chameleon when I drop on one sensibly priced. that's my all time favourite stereo, I still remember being mesmerized the first time I saw one approx 20 years ago
