For sale here reluctantly is my 1982 Porsche 944 2.5 in manual.
I have had this for a number of years and have spent an exceptional amount of time and money on it. I could go on about it all day, however I will try and keep it to the point as possible. Reluctant sale due to a recent house move.
Mechanical Condition.
Needs work. I had it up and running , driving and all was well however a stint in storage has resulted in a fuelling problem of some sort. Fuel down the throttle body and it will run. Speed and reference sensors will ere recently replaced. Running problem may be something as simple as a DME or fuel pump. Other mechanical areas like brakes need attention but when it was running it was holding temperature well, driving good and stopping well.
Interior condition
Very poor and needs a lot of work. The sunroof has leaked and damaged the upholstery, the dash is cracked as is the case with pretty much every 944. The gauges work as hey should, as did the windows and mirrors last time I had the car running and driving.
Body And Exterior Condition
Exterior wise the car had a reprint a few years ago, not the best but the car does oldish up relatively well. There is rust and it will need welding. The rears of the sills have gone, this has spread slightly into the inner sill and part of the driver floor pan. It was previously repaired but poorly. A weekend and a basic understanding of welding and you'll ace it I'm fairly sure. I have a load of suitable sheet metal I can chuck in for any prospective buyer to get it sorted.
Overall
Needs work but is in far better condition than a lot of things advertised on eBay for silly money. Yes it needs welding however it is not a huge amount. Yes it needs time and money spent on it in areas and I won't be a weekend job however a lot of the problems with it are probably a simple fix. Unfortunately I've had very limited time or no time for this for many years due to various things, so it may be sorted pretty quickly for someone with a bit more time or motivation than me.
Spares Included.
I have a lot of spares for the car that are included. These consists of...
A spare square dash, damage and stripped of its coverings, my intention was to repair and recover this and do a straight swap for the damaged dash that is currently in the car.
Interior.
I have front and rear sport seats that are included. They're not the same colour, they're a cream, and one has been repaired previously, however the bolsters and foam seem good, they're electric and they're 100 times better than what is currently in the car. America does seat cover sets for $250 to reupholster these seats which would be a cheap way to have an awesome set of seats. Mint ones of these sell for a darn fortune it seems.
Huge load of engine parts.
I got a short block from a chap Ho had bought a modified engine rely for the head. It had a modified 2.7 head fitted, so I have everything here bar that broken down in boxes. Black, piston, crank, sump, ancillaries, loads of gear in there. If you had the time and inclination to list it separately on eBay I'm sure you could make a few quid off of it.
I've also got other spares like cargo covers, sunroofs, other bits and pieces.
Price
For the car as a whole with the parts I am asking 1500. This is open to offers and negotiation.
The Important bits.
I have the V5 and key, the car is available for viewing in Kent and will also require collecting with a trailer/recovery truck with a decent winch.
