I don't really post much of what I'm doing, so I thought I'd put this online as some form of progress thread.
(And I put LEDs in, curse word photo but you get the jist)
(I had it welded, raised up a bit and what not shortly after fitting it)
It isn't much than simple tidy up jobs and a place to simply dump my photos. I am also curse word at taking photos doing most jobs.
Pardon quality and sizing, these are taken on mobile phones that range from curse word quality to tidy quality.
Anyways;
How it looked when I picked it up after a (scary) 4 and a half hour drive from Rhyl in 2017. Hardened tyres, knackered brakes, very wet weather and generally no vision at all. Driving over Penderyn at one point and there was a cow in the middle road, with visibility up to just further than my bonnet really..
And next to my mate's D reg Pop Plus (ps it's for sale, hit me up if anyone is interested);
Obligatory XR2 steering wheel and XR2 clocks fitted photo;
(And I put LEDs in, curse word photo but you get the jist)
I decided to lower it, but not as low as my Pug since I think Mk2s look alright a tad bit low, as opposed to dunked..so,
Put it onto a set of Outlaw springs and shocks;
And a non fitting Sportex exhaust, that we made fit
(I had it welded, raised up a bit and what not shortly after fitting it)
Back flash and some old Kenwood parcel shelf speakers, along with Flat Eric chillin'.
Bought brand new rear bumper + refurbed the old one - literally rubbed it right down to bare metal and repainted. A long with that I forgot to mention I put on an XR2 lip, new plates, badges, front light protectors and wind deflectors for the windows. Here how is how it looked shortly after this;
And swapped my OG seats for a set of Corbeaus my friend had -
Had the Pepperpots done by APS in Swansea - highly reccomend him if you're local! I also got a set of A539's for them, too.
Sometime last year I got the wing done on the passenger's side, as it had rotted pretty badly inside and had horrible bits of bubbling by the light cluster;
Put a K&N air filter on it - which sounds tidy when you're giving it 'ye 'ol beans;
Then, it kinda' looked like this for a bit circa October last year;
I had spun in first on a slippery part of the road, where I then popped out the driveshaft. I got it home via my old man towing it and the driveshaft was chewed to pieces (no access to a trailer or anything at that time, plus it wasn't near anywhere to leave it over night).
A guy in Neath ended up being the saviour and refurbed it all for £100 - tidy!
I got two Denon head units, along with a 12 CD changer I'm planning to fit. So far, I have this a 670R fitted;

Got some good tapes to play alongside it;
Par getting that wing sorted, I done some jobs inside the car done such as sorting out some leccy mishaps. The car's fan was constantly on and I decided to fit a manual switch where the rear wiper switch was. I must have done something a bit 'ooh er' andI had some slight smoke coming out of the dash, with no wiring amiss or there being any sign of fire I was a bit lost. I think it was this bit of wiring that caused it. It must have been some resistance. All has been sorted.
It then stayed like this for a while after I had the boot and inner passenger sill sorted due to it failing an MOT - plus the rear wheel bearings;
And up to now, it had a through clean out (which meant some photo opportunities) it was time to find this bloody leak in the boot...
And I found it - it was a split in the light surround
General plans are to get all the relevant parts re-sprayed, possibly rattle can jobs as they're only small bits here and there. Seal the obvious leak culprit and respray the rocker cover.
