Whatever happened to them then? I rememebr when they advertised on TV all the time, and you'd often see their vans rolling about the place, often in the work's car park...
In these days of VVTI and ECU everything I can't help wonderign if theres much of a market for a guy in a van with a strobe light and osciloscope.

There is a guy who is always at a big car boot sale near aberdeen with a van advertising mobile tuning. He has a wee area in the carpark sectioned off and there is usually a queue of cars waiting to be seen. They are always modern cars so I'm not sure what he actually does. I would imagine its more diagnostics, fault code reading and re-setting of service or airbag lights etc than actual tuning.

There probably aren't that many people who know how to put a tune on an engine these days Back in the day a new set of plugs, leads, points and condensor with a quick time up would transform an engine from a dead unstartable smoker to running like a sewing machine
