Rain has stopped play after work this week Hoping the weekend maybe better So we can clean up the seats and get the interior back in A couple of bits need mopping again , then a good sealant polish over it Just enjoying the process of saving another unloved car With the satisfaction the lad found a virtually rot free car The reason it was taken off the road three years ago Was due to it not having power steering, personally I prefer old cars without it and I think it’s better for George to learn to drive in a non power assisted car.....although he’ll probably end up with a later car for daily duties when he eventually passes his test

Paints loooks good, it's allways amazing what a few hours effort and some polish can do to a car.

Thanks, I find the whole cleaning process very satisfying With a good few hours and a bit of sweat most tired paintwork can be revived, hoping to get more done this weekend

Really liking this Dan, keeping my eyes open for one myself now, or a mk5/6 escort.

God aren't those discs small there like dinner plates.
Good work getting it done George you have another nice car there and the insurance will be so much cheaper on a 1.1
Keep up the progress updates.

Pete the insurance quotes have been ridiculous so far It’s cheaper for him to buy a five year old Corsa and run that as a daily Can’t get my head around the thinking on that! The modern Corsa things are a rapid car Whilst the 1.1 fiesta aint’ work that one out??

isn't there at least a vented disc that would work on there?

Lowering and wheels coming , neither Young George or me can do Standard cars, want to use the burgundy one over the winter months as a runabout Its a disease i tell you, every time I buy a car, I say "this time it is staying original, not gonna modify anything". low and behold, less than a week later something has to be done, can't be this boring. Never owned a standard car in my life, well not for long anyhow.
