Very late facelift PI (built in ’75 but not registered until February ’76) in Carmine Red with 69,000 miles on the clock – now running on SU carbs. Requires a caring new owner to give it the TLC it deserves.
Automatic gearbox provides a sedate and relaxing driving experience, but it cruises nicely when pressing on. Exhaust manifold and/or gasket now blowing, could do with replacement. Body is not perfect/has a few cosmetic issues, but the paintwork still comes up nicely with a good polish. Sills were repaired recently and injected with Rustbuster Techshield cavity wax for future rust prevention.
Period 15in Wolfrace alloy wheels, fresh tyres all round (sub-1000 miles), new battery, oil/filter, dizzy cap, NGK BP6ES plugs, Superpro trailing arm and diff mounting bushes. Uprated Chris Witor rear springs, Mintex 1144 brake pads, sports exhaust silencer and Kenlowe electric fan fitted.
Lots of potential for improvement, or just use and enjoy ‘as is’ – I’ve done more than 2500 miles in this car and it has never let me down. Reluctant sale, but with another 2000 to look after and a TR6 project to pay for, something has to give – it is a case of ‘last in, first out’ for this one. Price is £2500 firm. Any other Qs, just ask. Can be viewed at my place of work in Peterborough. PM me or ideally email mg261285AThotmailDOTcom.
Thanks, Matt
