Advertising for a friend,
No Logbook
No number
Chassis plate present, also a letter confirming details from the owners club, also believed to be 1 owner from new.
Standard/basic rolling shell,
x member/torsion bar present.
Front & rear seats present, as are the front & rear bumpers, glass, boot, doors and bonnet.
no engine or gearbox, no door handles, bumper mounts are scruffy, may part ex for something interesting, otherwise sensible offers considered.

Apologies for the poor quality of photo's, (taken with an i pad!) i will try to get some better ones shortly.
Car is based in Essex.

Try @grumpynorthener he's the resident Jowett expert GLWTS - I will put it up on the Jowett forum for you - However complete Javelins in this state with ID & V5 + a ton of spares normally change hands within the club for anything between £0 - £500 tops |

I just had a similar reply to an ad on another site fro a car I have for sale....... So how does the scam work - is it to get a paypal address then hack the account? Or what is the motive?  ? to be honest I am a bit gullible and initially replied thinking it was some sort of legit overseas buyer, the second email reply was much more 'hinky' and my curse word alert alarm went on. So rather than reply and say 'curse word off scammer' I am just not replying or engaging in any way. |

yep, i had no choice, had a few 'people' telling me what they need to spend on it, but, that's not my problem. I cannot really see anyone giving me a list of what they will need to spend on it, hoping for the owner to simply say 'oh! ok, you poor thing, i didn't realise' here, have it for the £17.50 you have offered!' then later, when it turns out the buyer has actually saved a few quid on the parts they need, are they really going to give him a call and say ' Hi! i saved £300 on parts, would you like me to pop over and give you the money?' Because we all know this will not happen, so! he asked me to drop the price, as there were 2 'people' who said they would take it for £500....... and as usual, things go quiet!
so there you go, i really do not care if it sells or not, i just cannot be bothered with the Rubbish people talk yet can't back it up! so! I will change the ad (as i forgot it was on here!) thanks MkX for the reminder

I tend to keep a handle on Jowett prices has I'm one of the committee members that undertakes valuations of members cars within the Jowett Car Club - whilst also arranging the pricing & sale of vehicles internally within the club - especially when the cars / projects come to the market through the loss of a member or through illness - I have to say that I think the vendor has been very fortunate with this one - several significantly better & complete Javelin projects have changed hands within the club over the last 18 months at this price level (and less in some cases) |
