Hi,
Welcome to the first listing for my new business, Estuary Classic Cars.
My name is Adam Harris and I have been involved in owning and restoring classic cars for a number of years, up until recently it was purely a hobby however I recently decided it was time to take a risk and try to make a business out of it.
Along with my friend who is a professional mechanic the plan is to buy and restore classic cars and then hopefully find them new owners. We are currently working on a 1966 Fiat 850, a 1973 Cortina GT Coupe, a 1971 Morris Traveller and a 1991 Saab 9000 Carlsson as well as this lovely Triumph Dolomite which is now ready for sale.
We are based in Hullbridge, Essex and I also have use of an underground parking facility in SE16 (London) where the cars will be stored and viewings can take place.
I would like to ask that whoever wins the car to please leave some feedback/review I can use for an upcoming website, I am really hoping to make this my full time job so it is vital that we get as much feedback as possible.
As an incentive I will be donating 1% of the final sale price to a charity of your choice once feedback has been received.
Now onto the car....
I purchased the Triumph from a gent up in Scotland who had spent the last few years carrying out a sympathetic restoration. This entailed a glass out repaint, all new brakes, new suspension, new clutch, refurbished wheels and new tires, all window rubbers replaced, new sills as well as a full engine bay detail and engine rebuild.
The results are incredible and I honestly believe that this must be one the best Dolomite's in the country, personally I love the way it has been restored as the original character of the car has been retained and it still feels like a classic.
I have a USB stick with over 150 photos of the restoration as well as a thick folder full of history detailing both the restoration and the MOT history to confirm the ultra low mileage of 33,000.
The car drives like a dream and always starts first time, the handling feels crisp and the suspension is exactly as it should be. I will take the car to a mechanic contact of mine who is an expert with older cars and the twin carbs will get a final tune up before sale.
The interior of the car is in near perfect condition with all wood, interior fabrics, carpet and headlining being in excellent order. All controls inside the car work even down to the rear demister.
The car comes with the original radio however this doesn't seem to be getting power, it has never really bothered me too much as it looks great and the car sounds so good you really don't need it.
Underneath the car is nice and solid, the sills were replaced neatly and professionally and according to the previous owner the floor itself was solid prior to the restoration. There is a light coating of under seal to protect the car going forward however you can clearly see that areas like boot floor, jacking points, sills etc are solid and in good order.
The paintwork is in excellent shape and has no runs or peeling however I would say that this is probably a £1500 paint job rather than an absolutely top end £3000 job. It really does not detract from the car in any way though and I am being hyper critical by even mentioning it.
When people stop you on the street (as they will do, regularly!) they always comment on how smart the car looks. I have been told on more than one occasion that they weren't this nice in the 70's when they came out of the factory.
The only slight mechanical issue is that the gearbox has a slight whine in second and third, it functions perfectly and does not affect driving the car at all. Again I would say that I am being very critical.
As I mentioned before that car comes with a large history folder including books and manuals, old MOT's and receipts/invoices for work carried out. The mileage is 33,000 and whilst it is not a full service history there is enough there to confirm this mileage is genuine. The Triumph has only had two previous keepers.
I have driven the car roughly 750 miles since I purchased it and it has performed faultlessly, I would happily get in it and drive anywhere and I have no doubt that it will get any new buyer home safely.
I will be taking the car for an MOT over the weekend so it will come with a full 12 months.

I hope that I have covered everything but if you do have any other questions then please do ask, you can reach me on 07903434453.
I will also offer a one week warranty with the car to cover any mechanical failures however you will need to return the car to us if there are any issues, so please bear that in mind if you live a long distance away.
Thanks
