Garage crew Do you think the plastic "garage floor" tiles would be good enough insulation to stop the dreaded wet concrete floor? This kind of thing: big dug flooring I'll want to be jacking cars and maybe have a car of dollies ...normal kind of deal ... Any got these type of tiles down in their garage ? cheers

If you look past the car parts you can see the plastic tile flooring I have Quite expensive but I think it was worth it easy to keep clean and if you drop your tools on the floor it don't scratch it Only down side is plastic don't like heat so if you cut a bolt head off and it's red hot it will melt into the tile The other thing is if you park your car after a brisk drive the heat from the exhaust can warp the tiles

I case any searches this in the future!! Thanks to nalesutol 's recommendation I got a few packs of the foam floor tiles from B&Q. These badgers: hereand if you're feeling even more bourgeois you can get colored ones! here They're lovely under foot , not great for rolling stuff on though , loads cheaper than the hard one's from bigdug . perfect for low traffic home garage. I'll get another load at some point .

Oh yeah. the wheels will dig in with nowt on the jack! It needs boards under the jack and axle stands. You could pull out the tiles where you need to take weight..... I just put boards down. These are cheap foam tiles not the expensive hard plastic ones. pays your money.... Takes your chance. I like them.

Where does the condensation come from? Is it ground damp from the concrete not having DPM under it?
