Just been given a "non runner", hit the starter with a hammer and presto.
So I'll be MOTing and selling this stunner.
it's a slightly battered 1.6 with 90k or thereabouts, will have 12 months ticket.
let me know

ahahahah.. good call ;D I imagine the 205GTi over there is actually quite modestly priced, most Euro cars on this side of the world are way over priced

you can pick up a half good 1.6 GTi for about £600 with some MOT on it. a really good one will cost about £1000 to £1500. I'll probably make this a half good one , so about £600 or £1600 or so to you, depending on my expenses.

went to have a proper look at the car Saturday. the 2 front tyres are shot, not a problem, the rear dampers leak and the windows don't work, the dampers I can do, the windows, I don't like electrics , but I'll get there. Also has the usual peugeot electrics, both front indicators refused to work till I cleaned them, and the reverse light switch has gone kaput. Took it anyway. , drove it home, quickly and sideways pretty much all the time, has a pair of Cooper Cobra rear tyres, they don't like to grip much. proper fun car, looks like I'll have to weld a patch on it and spend a couple of hundred on bits and bobs for the MOT, but I actually think I'll keep this as a daily till my golf 16v is on the road. Oh and the handbrake works well When I got home, I found it has been stamped to 72000 miles, and read 78 on the clock, bonus. Found a couple of HPI checks, one from 1998, and another from 2002, both all clear, as well as some interesting sales reciepts, telling me who has owned the car (turns out I know the previous 3 owners), and loads of service reciepts too. Great, also the number reads G205 ***

...has a pair of Cooper Cobra rear tyres, they don't like to grip much. My Golf has a set of these on the front, am trying to wear them out so I can replace them but seem to be made from granite. Treadwear rating 300
