So a friend of mine has some Solex 'Security' door locks on his Capri, been fitted for some time. They fit into the standard hole for the barrel inside the door  I know they made them for a bunch of different cars.  I need to replace my door locks, as they are worn and are starting to not work sometimes. I had a google but it doesnt seem like they make these new anymore. And I'm a bit warey about buying second hand locks, who knows who might have a spare key. Is there any other companys around who make similar locks for retros? ideally these 'security' type Thanks |

When I've bought a secondhand lockset in the past, I just got a mate to buy them for me and transferred him the money. Then there's no chance of the seller finding the buyer. Just an idea.

These types of locks can be opened with a biro.
Not very secure.

These types of locks can be opened with a biro. Not very secure. I’ve done this before on server racks. I assumed these were different to those. If not then that’s no good. I’ll stick with a regular lock type. |
