I thought I’d share this here as I know you folks will be interested. This is the story of my uncle. A lifelong hot-rodder and car guy, he was a mechanic and had 4 star in his veins. He built some awesome cars back in the 70s and had pics of the 70s car shows. As a member of hull street freaks, he and his wife took their consul capri to many shows. Later, he started building a 34 ford, but life and family and work got in the way. And the project was sold.
As a 12 year old kid he encouraged me and nurtured me whenever he was around, showing me car stuff. I got an apprenticeship at 16 and followed in his footsteps. Life moves fast as an adult and soon I had a family and he had moved on from the trade to owning a fish and chip shop. He found he had more time and decided to build a 32 roadster, with the help of a few guys near Bristol.
Sadly, life can be cruel and he was diagnosed with cancer. Over the 2 years post diagnosis, he worked as best he could to finish the 32, and see his child hood dream live. Time wasn’t on his side and he passed in Feb. The 32 was sold and finished by an amazing gent called Buzz. It then sold again in September to new owners.
The reason I'm posting this is so that if they ever look for the history of the car or some future owner does, it’s here for them to know that they own Ade Young’s gold ’32. BOJ104
