Hi guys, as well as owning my lil Yugo, I've acquired an old 903cc 4 speed Uno! Now... I came across this lil beauty whilst scouring eBay, the price seemed fair and the owner even agreed to drive it to my door some 180 miles apart! BONUS! So, the guy sets off at 1800 on Thursday evening, I then receive A message at neigh on 2200 from the owner, saying he's pulling over for the night and will continue in the morning.... HERE WE GO! A messer... I went to bed, feeling like a curse word for getting my hopes up that someone would deliver me a car... All seemed too good to be true. I wake up friday morning, thought I'd give the owner the benefit of the doubt, so I message the guy at 0800 (after seeing he's been online) and get no reply till gone 1100. By this time, I'm convinced that he's taking the curse word, so keep my replies short and sweet, he's still telling me he's on his way, blah blah blah! Then come 1300 ISH, I get a message to say he's at my house... WOW... He's arrived, car's exactly as described and I'm astonished that the car and the guy are here and also slightly ashamed to have written the guy off! Anyway, I throw the bloke some dollar for the car and fuel, then take him to the train station and pay for his return, all as agreed! Turns out the guy is ex arm and decided to make camp at the side of the road on the night he was coming to me, rather than sleep in the car or get a room.... Seems slightly alien to me buuut who am I to judge ay?? Sound bloke, who' seems true to his word, so I'm happy! My plans are literally NOTHING other than maintain and clean the ol'girl! I'm itching to slam it on the ATS classics off the Yugo but the better half has told me no haha. Anyways, thanks for reading, here's the pics... Enjoy!

Ooohhh I love that, my grandad had a brand spanker K plate, remember the piping on the seats used to properly dig into my legs, and the tops of the doors were rusty at 3 years old. Been a while since I saw an early one, definetly bookmarked

One thing i would say to do is to get some rust proofing on underneath it before winter really starts . These rust like nothing on earth.

I really like that! Never had much experience of uno's (probably as most had rotted when I passed my test in 2008!)but they look so cool, and square lol. I would do naff all to it other than rust proof it. A lot to be said for a basic car as made. 🙂

They seem to be one of those cars that went faster than they ever had the right to . I can remember being driven in a 1.1 mk2 at over 100mph down a country b road and i had very brown pants .
Also a few years later a friend who was only 18 or so had a mk2 turbo with about 140 bhp . It was a very scary combination of wafer thin tin , rocket ship engine and suicidal youth driving !

I think it got left in his parents garden when he went to uni...dunno after that as I lost touch with a lot of people. My first was my granddad's mk3 fiesta which he'd owned from practially new and kept garaged until...until i got it. That was a few year later tho, as at 17 I was spunking money elsewhere! This is prob 2002/2003ish:

Hi guys! Hope you all had ana amazing Christmas and I hope you all have a great New year! Now... Nothing at all has changed with the Uno, apart from on the eve of Christmas Eve, I was trundling along,on my way to pick the Mrs up from work and I suddenly had a terrible shuddering feeling from the rear end and I step out to see quite an impressive blowout! No bother! I had a serviceable spare in the boot annnnnd, nothing to get the car off the ground... Balls... No fear! Mr AA came to my rescue, he luckily lived a few roads from where I broke down so got to me in like 15 minutes! During this time, my kind mum went and picked the Mrs up from work and my dad popped along and saw me on the side of the road and bought me some fish and chips (believing I'd be waiting ages for said AA man) So scoffed them as dad drove the ol'Uno home... Anyway, here's to more adventures and here's A pic of said blown tyre.. Cheers guys!
