Hi, my name is Steve (Meghan - posting for my dad) and its time for me to sell my much loved Ford Anglia Broadspeed replica. When I bought the car about 12 years ago, it was ready for the breakers. As you can see from the photos, it has been totally stripped and rebuilt. The build took me five years and the car has been on the road for seven years. In the last seven years the car hasn't even done 3000 miles. Please have a look on the below link to see some of the pictures of the car over the years in an album I have made. Engine
The engine is a 2.1 Pinto, lightened and balanced, tough rided crank. The head is polished and ported, and running a Kent ultimate road cam. It's also running Kawasaki ZRX 1200 bike carbs, tuned and dynoed by Bog Brothers in Yorkshire.
Gearbox
The gearbox is a 2.9 five speed Sierra which has a longer first and second gear.
Axle
The axle is a 105e body, fitted with a Quafie 3.5 plated limited slip diff, and tie bars on axle. Rear springs have been converted to 70mm mk2 escort.
Suspension and steering
The steering is mk2 escort rack and pinion with Corsa power assist. Adjustable track control arms. The front suspension are Bilsteins with GAZ insert conversions, fully adjustable. The rear has mk2 RS escort GAZ shocks, fully adjustable.
Brakes
Front brakes are filled Willwood 4 pot calipers, with drilled and vented 2.8 discs. The rear brakes have been converted to Sierra Cosworth discs. It also has a Willwood pedal box, and twin servos which are fitted in the boot.
Body
The body has been refurbished and has metal mk1 escort bubble arches. The bonnet has been turned around to open the opposite way. The only thing that isn't metal on the car is the front spoiler, this was made from fibreglass by the company Fibresports.
Interior
The interior has been completely upholstered by a specialist company in Essex, Neil's Auto Interiors, to a very high standard. As you can see from the pictures, the seats have Anglia embroidery to match the car. The carpet has been custom made too. All new clocks have been fitted.
The car has a full engineers report with an agreed value of £20,000, along with a folder of thousands of pounds worth of bills which I've spent on the car.
So that's about it, happy buying! If you have any questions, give me a message and I will get back to you. The car is advertised on other sites too so I've the right to pull it if sold on one of the other sites.
I also don't want to swap, part exchange, or anything else. No tyre kickers, no joy riders, and no test drives.
