EDIT: Having done all the thinking around the graphics, and settling on either the Green Sinclair or Orange 76 Union design, my next question is this. Would you buy this truck, were it painted or covered in vinyl like that.
HONEST ANSWERS ONLY.THANK YOU. Well Its not really a challenge. The clever guys who can do this stuff have already done it. Repeatedly Example forum.retro-rides.org/thread/206552/80-style-chunky-graphics-showI took two sets of pics earlier in the garden. Suspension as it is now and one on the jack, raised to “Stock height” Which is where I am headed. I think for the moment, this is where I am headed. Based on this. I like the simplicity and chunkyness of this design. However The front and rear start and end may need to be on the samelevel or completely different. I still like the idea of some simple bonnet action, subtle and either connected to the sides or seperate, in a U shape or L shape accentuating the slight raised area. The tailgate also can do with a symmetric or asymmetric design. I like the rear canopy black with shaded side glass, but also wonder if it can look good in white as it is now. So below are a few pics to work with if you are interested in habing a go. Thank you all for helping. Low and “broken” as it is now. Difference between now and future wheel arch height. “Broken” “Fixed” Raised slightly as it will be once I get done. Rear 3/4 view for the adventurous. Tailgate. Glass can be blacked out too.

Please forgive the crudity of my photoshop work, grizz . I'm not much good at it, and can only do the simple stuff, however I hope this conveys the idea, and maybe someone like Littlepixel can come along and make it look proper, anyway, here's my effort, such as it is... The grey, black and red would go around the body at that level. The orange would go around the body, but also up and over the bonnet and the roof, and the yellow, would just go along the sides and up and over the top of the bonnet and the roof. Also, mirror tint the rear side windows, and rear window, and put a big decal that says bigtruk in the bigtrak font on the side windows. Job done! Hope this helps.

If you go ahead with it, use the original font/logo for the 'Blazer' text. Nothing says cheap back street vinyl shop like a 2000's era font picked randomly from dafonts.com Interesting comment from the BMW GS forum

Nothing says cheap back street vinyl shop like a 2000's era font picked randomly from dafonts.com Of course (as you probably already know!) that's from the later, and smaller, S10. The font you really should copy is this one. Looks a lot more "country & western". There are a few cheap/free fonts that look similar.

The BigTrack font is called 'Serpentine Bold Italic' and can be found here: Serpentine Font I'd love to do some new renders for you but am busy til tomorrow probably - so can't easily do it today. But Pistonpopper's version is definitely a good direction.

I've mucked about with Littlepixel's original....the front fender is all wrong on this rough mock-up but there's a way of getting the ribbon to run over the shoulder and onto and across the hood - it might mean taking the upright onto the hood about midway over the wheelarch?

I like that too. Weird how it changes the proportions by drawing attention away from the bulk. Looks much more purposeful. What is great is seeing all the variations because they keep narrowing it all down. The red wheels do not work for me Littlepixel. May look better on ipad. I am down in the shop. About to remove the whole inner sill plate to let in fresh metal. Got a dinner date at 7pm with dinner being delivered Meals on Wheels style.

I'm not near my Mac at the moment but am liking what's already been done. They remind me of the kind of tampo printed graphics that would be on Matchbox cars from the '80s.

Red wheels were just a punt on how 'A-Team' van style turbines might look.

Number 79 looks awesome. It offers an easy way to hide some sins....

Well.....
Suddenly I am again screwed for having too many choices.
The 79 truck is a different style altogether, but well inside my brief.
What is interesting to my is that the simple red and blue, maybe those specific colours, works for me.
You guys are all so bloody clever.
Thank you so far.
Virtual beers all round, unless you want to pop around for a cuppa and a chat.

I know the inspiration was given from that bigtrak toy, but not being the most patriotic german and being some kind of allergic to that color scheme since, I do not like the whole black-red-yellow-stripe thing - but that´s just my 2 pence. I mentioned it earlier: Nice chunk of steel. Checkered stripe and race number would look nice on that one, too. So I rather like the 79 concept. I like traditional two-tone combinations which is quite 80s, too IMHO, you already showed a pic of that orange&white car. Here are two pics randomly found in the net, I quite like and want to put up for discussion: Colors could be viceversa for a white base car of course, I ment the concept of contrasting colors.
