Performance was feeling a little insipid, so I slackened off the timing and advanced it a little by ear.
Took it for a quick spin for fuel. Feels better now, stamping the gas in third doesn't cause any wheel spin but if you look in the mirror you can see two back lines where the tires are having difficulty keeping purchase, so that can stay there, I think.

lamenting the lack of beer. Phil Huh? I was sat in my chair, in from the heat outside and it was a terrible thing, my fridge has no beer in.

Sorry? 'my fridge has no beer in' does not make any sense? Please explain in English

Got the car running in the garage. It left hazy sunbeams behind. Thursday; time for a chocolate malt! Just exercising the fuel gauge needle right now, having fun. Car's running better for sure with the timing backed up. Needs an oil change. Phil

As always.
Stuff fixed and working as it should is great.
Taking some cool pictures for us is even better.
Looking good.

I'm sorry all the pictures are all the same, the places I can go are a little limited right now.
There might be a thing tonight in town, not sure. Might just go there to see anyway.

Reminds me of that Aussie classic sung by Slim Dusty... A Pub With No Beer As so often is the case..... This sent me down a rabbit hole of songs, mainly country. And got me to quite near you PhilA and though Tennessee is not quite a neighbour........ And got me to David Allen Coe. He has written some evil songs, songs to make you cringe and sons to laugh. Also me,or able ones and commercially successful songs. Do at your own peril, till you find a song with the word Pillow in in the title. Original And a more modern version with Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton.

Agreed, he's written some good songs that people have taken and run with; I do like Tennessee Whisky but I prefer Stapleton's version.

Oil change time. A small portal to hell created by 1000 miles on that oil. Impressive. Greased all the points (23). Cleaned and adjusted the handbrake balancer. Runs a little bit another now. Funny, that. Phil

Heater fan made a bad smell like burning lacquer insulation and now only runs very slowly.
I guess that's next on the to-do list.

My biggest fan. They was less than fun to remove, a number of rusted bolts to blame. Fan case split, squirrel cage removed. Cleaned the motor and split it open. Oh dear. The windings have been so hot they've melted the solder that holds them in. New motor time.
