looks like you have some handy stuff to use and some to keep for project fodder , some of those older spanners and bits are crying out to end up as sculptures/handles etc.
trolley certainly going to be different!

Nice tool haul, King Dick tools are great. Some folks apparently pay good money for Hazet Assistent tool trolleys; looks like yours is missing the top parts though? King Dick always raises a chuckle with the Americans Like most things in life, trolley is for sale, at a price that suits me. But I do prefer it as it’s planned. nice haul... and a clearly a girl with a great sense of humour! looks like you have some handy stuff to use and some to keep for project fodder , some of those older spanners and bits are crying out to end up as sculptures/handles etc. trolley certainly going to be different! Sense of humour for sure, she selected me. Tools as art, etc yes. Unique is good.

Only one of the Bootfair venues open today. So 50p for Craig. Like this a lot for 50p Check out the artist in the signature on the back. Craig has wanted a coat hook. £4.0 His wife loves Halloween 20p each. £1.00 for a self destructing wire wheel 20p each. Got separated from £3.00 for these here. After Bootfair it was home as Sawdust Steve and his daughter were headed here Great Guy, great family. Steve also brought two oak lounger chairs over Claimed by Sally Soon to be sanded down and painted. Halfway there. Job done. To stripe or not to stripe.

A very good internet friend and mentor on Garage Journal in Australia recently lost the fight against cancer. He had inspired many around the world and will be missed a lot. Various mementos have been generated in Steve “1/2 Cup” Church’s memory. One of his things was to get Quality Shed Time in. Thank you Gazza in Australia for the QST stickers. craigrk obviously snagged one and Dennis Jones gets one too. Once I have decided on the right place, which may be inside my house (I live there and pay the mortgage) I will show its place of honour. Trusting Steve will approve. Continuing on the 54 Bel Air theme craigrk and I have spent hours talking about it and all the potential permutations of buying it. Including the cost of modifications and service parts and upgrades. Not cheap by any means but it will mean a decent safe car if it gets bought. More later.

Got home yesterday from a day spent at Sally’s place completely gutting and tearing her bedroom and all of its furniture apart. Her son, daughter in law and grandson will be moving in for two years with her in order to save up for a deposit on their own place. The lovely landlord where they have lived the last three years and cleaned up and improved at their own cost has doubled the rent. So she is giving them the large main bedroom, redecorated and moving herself into the third very small bedroom. Crazy, but that’s a mother’s love, and they are good hardworking kids. Being that it all will be going into Prozac the van, for disposal at the local council tip 10:miles away, it really needed to be completely dismantled, right down to the handles, knobs, runners, hinges etc which craigrk is getting for his garage projects where he builds sliding storage solutions.. More on this later. Got home and there was a surprise parcel in the kitchen, which Tim, the new lodger must have got from Mickey next door when he came in from his all day training course. I opened the parcel and found a note, two number plates and a number plate surround. The new plate was from a 1955 Lambretta scooter, unused, for my collection. The second plate was an original 1962 California plate, clearly worked all its life. Parcel from Ernie, PedalcarJoe, collector of high end stuff. In this case, he had been told to get rid of his first ever emotional patina purchase by power that is Mrs PCJ. So the reason I wanted to sell the Blazer in the first place, and have been buying upholstery fabric and other bits, and even now, am looking for an INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE, was because I wanted to buy Ernie 1962 Ford Falcon Country Squire. Which of course has now sold, hence the 1954 Chevy Bel Air moving into the picture, unless I find something else more interesting This was the car for those who did not know it. And yes, it would have kept its look, mostly. Older pics.

People are mental! Who just throws away a perfectly good tool? One mans muck is another mans treasure though Good and unused. I am actually removing quite a bit of the hedge next to the new deck, past the BBQ and to Mickeys arched wall, replacing with vertical fence panels and concrete posts when the urge overtakes me. This tool will make life a bit easier. Copy and paste from GJ. Morning Andy, THREAD HERE: www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=334140These Arrived in St Louis yesterday For craigrk and @djones1 and myself. Thank you very much for forwarding these on to us. I suspect Dennis may let us know where his is going to go. Craig, who knows, he has such a variety of possible places to post it. Me........? Not sure yet, certainly indoors for starters, just to sit and enjoy, reflect, and talk about Steve’s legacy to anyone who will listen, there is always a chance to pay it forward in a life lesson for others. Thanks again for the effort you are putting in for all of us, making these and individually shipping them around the world.

Sally and I popped over to Essex and IKEA yesterday, making a detour to meet up with Paul Y and Lulu at J28 of the M25 to collect craigrk ‘s new Chevy Tailgate that Paul had collected in Luton last week, so next stop Leatherhead. Sally was eager with the camera and got it, including Lulu first. A really neat tailgate I guess it’s Bound to happen some times. Bootfair mainly sucked for me today Always interesting sellers though, this guy is a regular with cameo stuff. I like NATO or Cammo green. But craigrk was the winner with this large set of Augers for £6.00 The total haul. Included: Bicycle side stand for Craig’s daughter £1.00 Four coffee mugs unused, for their caravan site 50p each Nodding head dog for someone in the USA 50p Pink scarf, unused 50p Large phone booth mug, unused 20p Glass skull bottle 50p Some plasterboard jointing tape for Sally’s bedroom job 20p 3 Union Jack lapel pins 50p Star Wars shooter glasses, unused 50p Metal Millennium Falcon and bunch of figurines £1.00 Dog grass anchor for Sally’s dog £1.00 Load of fresh fruit for £2.50 That’s the lot. Total spend, under £15.00 Cheap entertainment

That packing slip with the hose clamps you picked up at the boot sale looks a lot like the War Department part number tags. Possibly packs for MOD use! Interesting stuff!
