Spent yesterday at craigrk helping him and his son build a used, re-engineered shed on his driveway, yes, it needs to be there. Prozac the Berlingo was also on duty to deliver some furniture to him that came from near my place. We finished at 20.30 and then I drove the hour home. No dinner, but a relaxing Rum and Pepsi Max, followed by a late bath after 22.00 to help my back along. Bed by 01.00 which is massively late for me and Harley alarm clock by 05.22 after which I could not get back to sleep, so got up. Doesn’t look like many people go to Bootfairs anymore as they certainly are smaller this year and the picking is certainly not as rich as it has been in the past. Anyway, Flag for USA Four lots of screws were £1.00 the lot Sign £1.00 Toy for Sally’s dog 50p 5 key rings £1.00 2 Portuguese cockerels for 50p Small pliers 50p Then at the second Bootfair which had 4 rows of cars only, vs the usual 16 rows, I got lucky, if you are a pipe collector. 5 good pipes for £12.00 5 pipes for £12.00 So pretty disappointing Bootfair. Seen at the Bootfair Radio Flyer airplane. Great condition and priced at £30.00 vs new price online at £88.00 plus shipping. In news from the USA Dennis completed the next generation 1/4 Midget build for his very eager to race, grand daughter and took it in to be inspected by the race officials yesterday. All good. Today they hope to go let her drive it around the track and start coaching her. If the weather holds out. Track. I hope she does as well as Adam, Dennis’ sone at that age and onward.

I like the sugar skulls leggings. That bench looks ace. Are the arms wide enough to support a beer and a burger? Arm rests were made that way....😉 And yes, she loves the leggings too. i would have thought "beer holders" would have been an essential design element?!!

I would have thought "beer holders" would have been an essential design element?!! Reckon Rian has it right. When someone starts to knock beer over, it's time they went home. Having no holders spots these wasters early.

Most of you know Mickey next door to my place. He and his wife were away for two weeks on a caravan holiday. I looked after Wendy’s greenhouse and 100’s of seedlings and of course cut his grass as it goes mad. Last night they got back and brought me an unnecessary thank you gift. Firstly I thought, more clutter for my hoarders house. But I love it behind this whisky bottle that was a gift a few years ago from a guy with the same nickname as Mickey “Skippy” Life continues to be good.

I looked after Wendy’s greenhouse and 100’s of seedlings and of course cut his grass as it goes mad. Ah, seedlings. A neighbour, and mate, of mine was going on holiday and asked me and the ex to look after the place. Of course, in addition to watering the plants, he also left three daughters, two boxers around twenty chickens and a pair of ducks for a mere three weeks. However, I digress. “Any tomatoes that ripen, free to grab them, and anything else in there.” Sounds okay. I go down to the greenhouse, which I’d never visited before and there, dwarfing everything else, was the biggest marijuana plant I’d ever seen, and I’ve worked in Jamaica. It was trying to get out the bloody roof! Needless to say, we just took the tommys. Oh, and he was short a couple of ducks as well. "Must have migrated." But I love it behind this whisky bottle that was a gift a few years ago from a guy with the same nickname as Mickey “Skippy” Life continues to be good. Nice match.

I love random stuff. This Harvard radio controlled plane was in the back of the Blue BMW at the other nights American car and Hotrod meeting. I noted it was done in the South African Airforce badging and commented. Growing up in SA they were part of our youth. Usually in Silver and Orange they had a long career as trainers. The sound is from the pitch of the propeller and they sounded glorious those days. Next thing, I was the proud owner of this plane. It will join my eclectic collection of stuff. Pleased as punch me.

Nice find Rian.
It appears that Harvard pilots in SA are mental (aka really got at aircraft control). Have you seen the 4 ship flight waterskiing? Get that wrong & you're dead in a second:

Get that wrong & you're dead in a second: Madness as we like it. isnt that a bit like working out rpm by sticking your finger in the cam sprocket???!!! But it is for your entertainment Bootfair today. Saw this, the inspiration for Blazer. Was £10.00 Sally seemed to be on a roll with her camera. Digging through a box of flags. One of my favourite traders, always fair prices. He had lots of affordable lots. All of this strawberry glass for £5.00 Only wanted one piece for Debbie in St Louis. Rummage some more. All these Lego pieces £6.00 Joblot of planes for £10.00 sooooooooo tempting. Glass all Cleaned up Treasures back home. Couple of cheroot holders and a Mayam clay pipe plus pencil all for £3.50 PS. Got a bicycle stand for craigrk for £12.00 too. BBQ with Sally’s friends later. Les hope it’s not just burgers.

I’m stall holding at my local car boot at Measham tomorrow off loading some of the kids unwanted toys, I bet I come home with as much as I sell though. 😂 Kinda does mean you are the winner though mate. I would not worry too much about that. Free money is always good. That bike stand I got for Craig yesterday was £12.00 from a sellers offer of £20.00 but as Craig said, it frees up £8.00 and his time as they are £19.99 delivered from Amazon. Helps to know what stuff costs. Long weekend in England meant I could have a few beers and cook a BBQ at a strangers home for 16 people. One of Sally’s best friends from school. And yes, I did the cooking to a higher standard than the usual burned offerings they are used to. Bootfair today, up early and out. Sally declined. Got lucky, went back to the one trader who had offered me a load of Strawberry Depression glass for £5.00 yesterday when I took the bowl, as I knew there was a cheese dish. Pleasantly surprised when he only asked £1.00 for it. The rest of the haul looked like this. Many were for random others. Nice 18” wheeled bicycle for craigrk for his daughter....... cost £3.00 For the price of a coffee. And I got myself a post digging spade and I will be putting up some fence posts soon. £2.00 has to be cheap enough. Next to the deck and Mickeys side. I plan on going to see a 1983 Honda Civic in a bit, knowing I should not, but really wanting it. Let’s see what today brings.
