Plymouth, one of my personal WANT cars. Kyle, being a 17 year old, is constantly growing, so food is paramount..... At least he looked after us too. Hot, cinnamon donuts were perfect in the chill of the day. Cock shot truck. Loads of stuff not photographed. But pretty certain you get the drift. Great seeing good, and old friends.

Right..... Now we get to the money shots. What I bought, and what I needed are not the same thing. First item, gas pedal. I would love to have a few cast in aluminium (Oklahoma anyone??) My costliest crazy purchase of the day...... Seller wanted £50.00 I wanted it, so sent the “Pit Bull Terrier” back in with an offer of £30.00 Guess who won. This will either be a drop down bench seat at my deck, or it may become a backseats to a bench on the deck. Now just need a Chevrolet badge to replace to one that was removed. Love the detail on this piece, picked it up and wanted it. Asked the vendor for a price........ “Take it, it’s yours” he replied. Free. After cleaning. I plan to add something else to it, and fitting it to the Blazer. Late afternoon, that is 2.30pm the traders must have been cold and tired. More stuff I do not need. £3.00 bought these very cute espresso cups and four skull valve caps. A useful tool, keyhole saw for £1.00 A box of screwdrivers....... £5.00 I only wanted two of them. Same seller..... £5.00 for this socket set, Would be rude not to buy them, unused, perfect for Sally’s shed as she has no tools, her sons usually bring tools when she needs stuff to be fixed. Door lock knobs for the Blazer £1.00 Door mounted mirror, love these, have no use for it, but felt the need to just own it. Another Blazer item, stainless tip, from an Audi according to seller, part a bundle Craig negotiated for £4.00 Same seller. Just coz I liked it, for my garage and part of my number plate collection. So that concluded my day out with Craig and Kyle. Came home, Big Mike met us all and delivered the two chairs for the deck, we all chatted for another hour. Then I went over to Sally for a Roast Chicken dinner, with all the trimmings, including pigs in blankets and Yorkshire puddings. Knackered and back killing me..... Life is good.

Right now, I'd kill for a simple, motor filled weekend! Although on Sunday I did cook killer salmon with a fantastic BBQ sauce recipe I found. Plus minty, buttery potatoes. Like very buttery. Like we need more butter. Suppose with fixing the '38 as well, it should class as a good one. Wonder where I'm living in 8 days?

Some nice finds there.
I’d have been screaming for that electric bike but I’d need to put stabilisers on due to my poor balance.

Yup, pretty much anything can be made good, it’s all about perspective Some nice finds there. I’d have been screaming for that electric bike but I’d need to put stabilisers on due to my poor balance. Trust me..... 😉 Breakfast meet looks great and is giving me the urge to get out and about in the Aggro, also nice the see KFW upright and still breathing at the NSRA swap meet 😂, btw on the subject of BBQ Bananas, try them with a splash of Tia Maria or Cointreau, they taste gorgeous. Got a decent cuddle from Kev, one of my favourite people from these pages. Generous to a fault, and always fun to be around. Banana desert.... I suspect many ways would be great, including Baileys.

Quick n Dirty. Tailgate cleaned up, scoured with ammonia based household cleaner. Hosed down. It will work. Door lock pins removed, replaced with 8 Ball items. Yup, I like that. Stainless Steel tailpipe tip, offered up, it will work. £4.00 well spent. Old painters paint and brush box I had for years, awaiting its role..... Filled with a selection of the screwdrivers from Swapmeet for Sally, as she only had 4 cheap Wilkinson’s items. What £5.00 bought. Her share. Of course you need stickers on there. Yup, she likes it. Also have given her the socket set to take home and put in her shed, in case I need to fix anything.

Brakpan is a gold mining town - I guess it refers to someone who scrabbles about in the dust looking for nuggets. A key skill when you’re going car booting or auto jumbling.
Grizz, is that about right?

Grizz, is that about right? Nope....😉 In these days of political craziness where everyone is offended by something, and just wiping your butt after taking a poop could be seen as offensive, cruelty or some self harming illness, take your pick......... I will ask the above posters to clarify. From my understanding it would be closest related to being a Chav or at least that Barryboy style of car building(is that permissible) Originates from miners earning really good money, having not a lot of taste, education etc, and buying their 60’s or 70’s Ford 3.0 liter V6 Cars and adding loads of tut to them. Make sense?

Ah, makes sense. A bit like people who used to stoneclad the outside of their house. I suspect stoneclad could be forgiven, what these guys speak of....... Dinner date went well, we both fell asleep after dinner, on the sofa watching American Pickers (Sally’s choice) as we both had a ha d week, and she is working the whole weekend, part of a 12days on, 4 days off system. I feel really honoured that she makes this kind of effort, just for a plate of food. It’s been a while, and of course I am in shorts or track bottoms.... So after we woke sat upright on the couch at silly-0-clock she went home and sent a nice pic of the moon over her home. Up early, then drove down to mate Darren’s shop Unit Engineering While unloading the Berlingo we heard a V8 roll in..... While there, I always love the random stuff that is being worked on. So Saturday produced some fun. Back home, cars swapped around, created havoc out on the street as the local füktards do well in excess of the posted 30mph, often nearer 70-80 mph. They hate obstructions...... 😁 Ready for the Kent Breakfast Meeting tomorrow. Hopefully good weather and even more guys than usual in their American cars and trucks. Later guys.

I have to say that , as I have previously said, I am mightily impressed with the Blazer and the clever work and touches you have put into it. Moreover, I now find that the thread has taken such a positive heart warming turn.
It's good to read that you are now moving full steam ahead once more and I wish you well. I, like many other members of the forum, may not know you personally but it's clear that you are a very well liked, respected and popular member of this community. Deservedly so. #topfella
