My dad took me to a stunt show in 1980. Here are the only photos worth reprodcing from then. VW fastback goes flying happy landings One of several A60 Farinas doing 2 wheel driving Avenger breathing its last... Another A60 going out ina blaze of glory old cars gettng squished That Oxford was quite nice condition as I recall. I don't think it got mashed. Wonder if it survived. I do recall someone saying someone had bought it!

Great pictures. I went to something similar in Baildon, nr Bradford in about '83. I think it was called 'The Eddie Kidd Stunt Challenge' where he jumped over a load of cars. One of the other stunts was to see how many times they could roll an old Renault 12 before it broke down and couldn't start it.

Went to a hell driver stunt show over larkins field near me years back, one of the cars ended up driving into the stand (not very fast) no one was injured but me mate had to dive over the back along with half a dozen others. I was on the end so he missed my bit, don't recall anymore over there after that.

You know what strikes me about that? When we were kids we never had cameras with a zoom lens so all the pictures I took at race tracks came out with loads of sky, loads of grass and some tiny specs of colour in the middle God, my old 110 camera was awful

Is that a VW type 3 fastback taking to the air and landing on its nose? yes. IIRC they had welded the suspension solid on it as well for some reason.
