Right, it's with a heavy heart I have decided to offer up one of my 76 models for sale. I bought this earlier in the year with the intention of using it as a ratty/patina ride for the summer. I bought it unseen, under the impression it needed a little bit of work to make it usable. Unfortunately once it turned up it was clear it needed more work than I expected, and as such plans changed and it slipped down the pecking order. Last check it sits about eighth on my list of projects, so it's not going to get looked at any time soon
So, lets cut straight to the bad stuff. I bought the car as a non-runner, which had been diagnosed as debris in the fuel tank by the previous owner's mechanic. My intention was to replace the tank (a spare was included) and that was to be it. Once the car turned up it was dropped at my mechanic's. He gave it a once over and tried to start it by bypassing the tank to find the car would not start. Suspecting the starter motor this was removed, to find it was a newish motor. We tried another one anyway to find the same issue. Further investigation found the ring gear to be the issue, as such this will need replacing too. I have a spare one of these too which will be included in the sale. On top of this there is a crack in the windscreen, so this too will need replacing (passenger side, so not critical, but will need doing none the less at some point).
On the plus side, obviously the car is a very early model, so is pretty rare. It's been around the forum a while so is known by a few. The inside is decent for a 40+ year car, and the dash is surprisingly good. Car now benefits from being tax and MOT exempt, and is now wearing the correct age related plates.
As always, pictures speak a thousand words, so here we go:

With regard to price, I'm obviously going to make a fair loss on it, and it's difficult to come up with a figure, so I'm going to place it somewhere between the other 76 model and the 77 project currently listed on the 924 owners forum. I'm in no major rush to sell, but it would be good to see someone get it back on the road, as opposed to it sitting in my storage for years.
£2200ono
Car is located in Minster, Kent (ME12 postcode). Viewing more than welcome, or I can happily take pictures of anything required for serious buyers who aren't local).
Thanks
Scott
