what can i say, it was so brilliant, so much fun absolutly the dogs dangalies!! we set off and met up in Halfords car park in Camarthen, everyone was going wild about the chevette absolutly loving it. other cars included audi 80 quattro, corsa, ae86 corolla, fiesta, polo, clio just pretty boring cars really. we were given maps with a set route and a page of clues with coordinates. we then had 15 mins to plot the points on the map. we drove down to the start and were set off at 1 minute intervals propper rally style with count down and everything. the first corner was a hair pin which was being filmed so it got some serious sideways action for the camera! but about 5 mins in we took a wrong turn and ended up 10 miles in the wrond direction so we headed back to the near the start to pick up where we went wrong. it was a case of me driving full tilt and my navigator not having chane to get used to the map. after this we got a nice rythem going and where flying. we got 18/17 clues but were 10 mins late meeting at the pub (you had 2 hours to do it all) don't know where we came as they only announced the top 3 but it will get posted at uni soon ill let you know I'm hoping for 11th! i had a couple of offs, once on some mud slid off the road and alls i could do was pull the hand brake up to miss a wall and another where the road suddenly split and i went left on to a churned up muddy farmers track!. not done any damage though, not even a scrach! the roads were amazing and really technical it was just the most fun ever and in all it cost me £21 including petro, a pint for my navigator and a coke for me!! the next one is in January so now i know what to expect i think we can do really well. the chevette was legendary and never missd a beat all the way. did i mention it was good fun? if there is one on near you do it you wont regret it!

fame at last!! the audi was black i think. all the roads were open but they are so out in such remote places we only met one car. 1st place was the ae86 corolla, 2nd was a std 1.2 corsa and 3rd was the audi. it it doesnt matter what you drive your in with a chance.
