Yes, I'm a idiot at the best of times but can't be the only one who lusts after a car known to be hugely unreliable & expensive to keep going ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) For me it has to be the Alfa GTV6, a sexy little beast with it's wedge shaped front end and power bulge bonnet and a right retro dashboard! Picture in the next post as for some reason, thats the only way I can post it

I was at a trackday at Cadwell a few years back when a few of these were out on track as well (some sort of club outing I guess). Lovely sound and smell, and quite quick too!

All Alfas have that smell, it comes from simultaneously burning money and wiring insulation! Quite distinctive! Despite all their faults, you gotta love an Alfa and the GTV is one of the nicest!

Buy a Princess! It practically looks the same if you get the twin headlights version and does all the annoying electrical and mechanical things an Alfa does just slower and cheaper. As a bonus, you get two extra doors! Or, you know, buy the Alfa and just cry into your wallet every few months to make up for how much fun you have bombing around in it the rest of the time ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

The GTV6 is a fantastic car. It's no different than any other classic car when it comes to maintenance/age related problems (you make it as reliable or unreliable as you want.) Buy a good one, show it some love and you'll have a great experience owning it.

Could be worse, could have a car which everyone thinks is hugely reliable and inexpensive to fix (old land rovers) but it actually not be

There are plenty of specialized forums to help anyone take care of period mistakes, the GTV6 can be expensive but if you can get one go ahead!!

I know how you feel about wanting/owning a car too expensive for your pay grade. My 280z is a perfect example, bits are ridiculously priced here/rare, outside of that it's shipping from USA that's the killer. Oh well... it's a lovely thing. As always, I'm always looking for ways to earn a bit more on the side or up the ladder.
GTV6's are ace too.
