I have just finished rebuilding this rare MK2 GP buggy.
It is based on a standard long wheel base VW Beetle chassis.
I have just MOT'd it & is ready to go.
You can see from the photo's the work has gone into it.
I repaired, strengthened & prepped the body then painted it in 2k gloss.
There has been a lot of engineering gone into it for improvements.
Lots of new parts, lights, cables etc.
I fix Air cooled VW's for a living so know my way around them.
Registered correctly in my name, on a Q plate as a convertible with DVLA.
LWB, 4 seats, 4 new proper seat belts fitted, all tied in to the roll cage & metal framed rear seat.
Top end rebuild & powder coated on the 1200cc motor. It runs great.
It has a standard 4 speed manual gearbox. It changes gear nicely with no noise or fuss.
New deep dish wheels & caps with big chunky tyres.
Re-trimmed inside with extra memory foam in the front bucket seats for extra comfort.
New wiring loom, all new fuse box. Everything works.
Roof is removable.
Now has side windows too.
Plenty of summer left to enjoy this, it is so much fun to drive. It's not crazy loud either.
