Audi 80 GL
1.8L 4 cylinder engine with Weber carb
5 speed manual gearbox
Electric windows all round
Central locking
Mot April 2019
150k miles
The car is generally in good condition, it starts up easily with use of the manual choke and when warmed up runs fine (if a little rich sometimes)
It's a fairly decent motorway mile-muncher, the engine is pretty smooth and quiet and still has enough power to overtake and tailgate modern traffic(typical Audi curse word!).
Mileage is around 150k, it's had a change of clocks from a 5 cylinder model which reads 250k but the original odometer is in a box of spares in the boot which reads 140k.
Everything works apart from the rev counter (4 cylinder clocks would fix this)
The interior is fair condition, the front seats are from an 80 sport and suffer from a bit of bolster wear, the rear seats are original and have a burn in the middle of the bench
It had spent a long time off the road going by the mot history which is probably why it's in such a good condition.
It's had some work done and parts replaced over the last year or so including the braking system overhauled and renewed, a new clutch and a new front sub-frame, it's also had some welding to the outer sills and inner rear arches.
There is a small amount of service history (if you can call it that).
It has a manual steering rack but the handling is actually quite light - I think the original wheels with 13" tyres play a part in it.
The car does seem to get a bit of attention when out and about, people seem to have fond memories of these cars from back in the day.
Anyway, I think that's enough rambling on, I think I've covered everything but if not then please get in touch.
The car is in Fife, Scotland so please bare this in mind when contacting me.
